The future of the economy depends on the success of our students. To assist in furthering the education of our students at Wheeling Jesuit University, we employ work-study students. The goal of this program is to help build two key areas for students to take with them after college: confidence and independence. Exposing our students to the workforce helps them gain significant knowledge and competence to take with them in addition to their WJU education. Such skills include:
- Visual, written, and verbal communication
- The importance of teamwork
- Planning, production, and dedication to a project
- Computer knowledge and skills
- Research tools and techniques
- Public relations, professionalism in appearance, and speaking skills
- Time management
